2012 Special Events

NHL Winter Classic
January 2, 2012
The 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic will be hosted by the Philadelphia Flyers at Citizens Bank Park. The Flyers and New York Rangers will face off in a featured game on January 2nd. In addition, a Flyers-Rangers Alumni game will be held on December 31, and the Adirondack Phantoms face the Hershey Bears on January 6. This will be the fifth year the NHL will continue its tradition of celebrating the origin of hockey with this outdoor event.

USA Curling National Championships
February 11th-18th, 2012
The USA Curling National Championships will be held at IceWorks Skating Complex located in Aston, Pennsylvania. Over 100 nationally-ranked curlers will flock to the Philadelphia region for the first time to compete for a chance to represent the USA at the World Championships.

NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals
May 20, 2012
Drexel University will host the 2012 Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals at PPL Park. The City of Philadelphia is thrilled to welcome back NCAA Lacrosse fans and we look forward to hosting the Men's Championships in 2013 at Lincoln Financial Field.

USA Sevens Rugby Collegiate Championships
June 2012
After the great success of the 2011 event, the Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) will be returning to the PPL Park in 2012. The nation's best collegiate squads will battle it out for supremacy in one of the world's fastest growing rugby events.

2012 Army-Navy Game
December 8, 2012
The country's greatest sports rivalry returns home to Philadelphia in 2012 when Lincoln Financial Field hosts the 113th Army-Navy Game. This will mark the 84th time since 1899 that Philadelphia has the honor of hosting "America's Game.".
